"As simplicity is the key to our symbol, it imitates the simplicity of our fellowship".1 The Area Service Committee is best described as the “workhorse” of our service structure.2 Our focus is on group development by assisting groups in their primary purpose of carrying the message of recovery. (Fifth Tradition). Without the groups, all levels of service cease to exist and become meaningless. Therefore, our Area is dedicated to abiding by the Twelve Concepts for NA Service.
1 – NA Basic Text, Our Symbol
2 – NA Guide to Local Service
The Meeting Information Line maintains and coordinates an effective 24-hour, seven day a week automated voice-mail system by which meeting information is available. This line is not monitored nor are calls returned, it is for meeting information only.
The Serenity Coast Area Hospitals and Institutions services are provided by the groups directly to the facilities they serve. H&I exists to carry the message of recovery from addiction to facilities whose residents are restricted from full access to regular Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
The Serenity Coast Area Service Committee sole purpose is to provide the member groups a venue by which they can support each other and coordinate services as directed by the groups. For more information on any NA services, please attend one of our ASC meetings. Minutes from previous ASC meetings are posted on this page.
